ATTORNEY ANGELA MESTRE
​​LEGAL EXPERIENCE

Angela Mestre has been teaching since 2002, both as a paralegal instructor and law professor.  Prior to starting her own practice,  Angela worked in criminal law representing clients both at the trial level and appellate level, including drafting criminal appeals and writs of habeas corpus.  Her experience in Bankruptcy and Debt began at a  Bankruptcy and Consumer Rights law firm, which represented clients all across California, as well as 16 other states.  There she headed the firm's Bankruptcy Department, while also working with the Debt Negotiation Department.  Angela has also worked in Estate Planning, Living Trusts, and Probate, and continues to work in that area on a limited basis. 

Angela Mestre is licensed to practice law in the State of California:                                   .  She is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of California, as well as the US District Court for the Southern, Central, Eastern and Northern Districts of California.   She also belongs to the American Bar Association, Orange County Bar Association, OCBA's Commercial and Bankruptcy section, OCBA's Trusts and Estates Section, OCBA's Solo and Small Firm Section, and the Orange County Bankruptcy Forum.

LEGAL EDUCATION

Angela Mestre received her Bachelor's degree from Chapman University and her Juris Doctor from Whittier Law School.  While in law school, she was an extern at, and one of the founding students of,  the Children's Rights Clinic.  There, she focused on helping indigent clients with the guardianship of minor children.  In addition, she was an extern at the Public Law Center, where she focused on drafting wills, as well as filing dissolutions of marriage for domestic violence victims.  Angela also volunteered at the Share Ourselves legal clinic where she provided legal counseling to the indigent residents of Orange County.

​​VOLUNTEER WORK

Angela Mestre is caring attorney who enjoys helping others.  She is a volunteer at the Bankruptcy Clinic for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, as well as a volunteer attorney for the Public Law Center (a non-profit organization in Orange County that provides free legal services to the low-income residents of Orange County).  She has also volunteered at the Guardianship Clinic at the Orange County Superior Court.
